sumantic

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 11, 2026
The short version: Sumantic has no accounts and asks for no personal details. Your game progress stays on your device. The only data that leaves your phone is collected by two well-known services — Google AdMob (to show rewarded ads for hints) and Google Play Billing via RevenueCat (to process your one-time archive purchase). We don't sell your data.

This policy explains what information is handled when you use the Sumantic mobile app ("Sumantic", "the app", "we"). By using the app you agree to this policy.

1. Information stored on your device

Sumantic is offline-first. The app stores the following locally on your device only — it is never transmitted to us and we cannot see it:

Uninstalling the app removes this data.

2. Information collected by third-party services

To provide ads and purchases, the app includes software from the companies below. Each collects certain data under its own privacy policy:

Google AdMob (rewarded ads for hints)

When you choose to watch an ad to earn a hint, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect your IP address, app interactions, diagnostic/performance information, and device or advertising identifiers, and use them for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. The app requests non-personalized ads where possible. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Google Play Billing & RevenueCat (the archive purchase)

The one-time "Unlock the full archive" purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. We use RevenueCat to manage and restore purchases; it collects your purchase history and an anonymous app-user identifier so your unlock can be restored on your device. Payment card details are handled by Google — we never see them.

3. How the data is used

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data. Ad-related data is shared with Google as our ad provider. RevenueCat processes purchase data on our behalf as a service provider. We otherwise do not share your information.

5. Your advertising choices

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and opt out of personalized ads, in your Android device settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads. Doing so does not remove ads, but limits ad personalization.

6. Children

Sumantic is a general-audience word game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data retention & security

On-device data remains until you clear it or uninstall the app. Data held by Google and RevenueCat is retained per their policies. All data collected by these SDKs is encrypted in transit using TLS.

8. Your rights & contact

Because the app has no account, most data is either on your device (removable by uninstalling) or tied to your advertising ID (resettable in settings). To ask a question or request deletion of data associated with your purchase, email support@sumantic.app.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
